What You Do:
Step 1 - Plan your Holiday Fair™ and Receive the Items
Early in the November you will receive a promotional kit to help you recruit volunteers and advertise the store to the students in your school. Choose the dates of your sale (Monday through Friday) and send home the provided information flyers with the children. Inventory arrives packed neatly and safely in our Display Boxes. Please be sure the school secretary or custodian is aware that the shipment will be arriving, and that you may receive boxes on more than one day. Product verification is made simple with our special Inventory Check-In sheets. Important Note: Make sure the number of boxes received matches the shipping receipt.
Step 2 - Set Up the Product Display Boxes
Leave the Display Boxes sealed until you are ready to set up your shop. All items come ready to sell in our efficient "Pop the Top" Display Box system. This keeps merchandise in order and helps reduce the space required for the sale. Just cover your tables with the provided decorative tablecloths and lay out the tray boxes, fold open the display top and you're ready to go!
Step 3 - Price Your Items and Set Up Your Check-Out
The sale itself requires only a few volunteers and everything you need is provided by us. Cash Registers can even be provided for qualifying schools - call today to find out if you qualify. Select your own profit level by choosing your desired markup above your cost from our convenient suggested price list. Write each selling price on the form provided and place it by your check-out or cash register. Write your selling prices on the Display Box labels found above or below each product, but DO NOT mark prices on the gift items themselves. Make sure your check-out area has plenty of change, adding machines (if you don't have a cash register), and the provided plastic tote bags. You may also need to program your cash register. Don't forget to offer snacks and drinks for all of your volunteers!
Step 4 - Have Your Holiday Fair!
Children bring home a budget envelope a few days before the shop opens so that parents can help them decide on a budget for each person on their list. Set up times for your classes to visit the Holiday Fair and then let them experience the Joy of Giving! When the sale is closed for the day, simply fold over the display top and lock up. Display Boxes are so compact they can even be stored in a closet.
